Have you ever wanted to be all you can be? Have you ever thought about shining bright with your ultimate leadership abilities? Well, I've got out of this world news for you! Become a Michigan FCCLA State Officer! Becoming a part of the Michigan FCCLA State Executive Counsel (SEC) is one of the best ways to show everyone how great you are as a leader. As a state officer you get to enjoy the luxury of leading teens in the right direction and building yourself as a person too. You get the opportunity to meet new people from around the state as well as having some of the best days of your life.
For me being part of the SEC has been a life changing experience, if my adviser was to tell me three years ago that I would be up on stage talking in front 350 people I would have called her crazy. I really blossomed as a person thanks to becoming a state officer. It has taught me to become a better public speaker, meet new friends, and most of all gain a new family. The other state officers are like my sisters, I'm more than positive that I will stay in touch with them for the rest of my life. They are truly amazing friends and out of this world leaders.
All FCCLA members are already amazing leaders but why not show it off? Take all of your leadership abilities to the next level; encourage others to become more active, teach them the important rolls of FCCLA, and of course become the ultimate roll model for them. Also, you would be representing the great state of Michigan . Nothing is more rewarding than knowing you've made such a huge difference in hundreds of teens throughout the state. So, go out of this world, make a difference, live your dreams, and make other's dreams come true. As John Quincy Adams once said, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” So take your dreams and fly with them, you'll never know where you could end up.
