Why FCCLA is Important to Me
Entering 7th grade, I was the typical junior high student who was timid and very worried about making new friends. This was the year that I discovered an organization known as FCCLA and my life was forever changed. This wonderful organization that I have now been involved in for five and a half years, helped me break out of my shell. FCCLA helped me become the independent, determined and outgoing young lady that I am today. Through FCCLA, I have also made many lifetime contacts and friends. Through FCCLA I have learned skills such as communication and team work as well as how to make healthy lifestyle choices. This organization has become a huge part of my life and is forever engrained in my heart and morals. I have based numerous decisions I have made in my life off of what I have learned from FCCLA, and I will carry the resulting wisdom and skills for a lifetime. I know FCCLA has helped me, and it will continue changing students’ lives for many years.
