Why FCCLA is Important to Me
FCCLA is important to me because it is all about families; I also get the chance to travel the country, meet new people, and do community service. My family is important to me because they help me through hard times and help me make tough decisions. FCCLA helps members because they learn how to make decisions and how to help families. One’s family is always there for him or her when he or she is sad, happy, or when things get tough.
Another thing I like about FCCLA is that we do community service and our communities are pretty much always there cheering one on at sporting events, helping with projects, or supporting career decisions. FCCLA also lets members travel the country and see what other parts of the country have to offer. You also get to meet new people that are from other parts of the country and make new friends. I also believe that FCCLA is the greatest student led organization ever to exist, and I truly believe that statement. If a student were to join a local FCCLA chapter he or she would realize that FCCLA has a lot to offer to a person in high school, such as Power of One, Scholarships, travel, and much more! Members get to compete with others from around to country with the projects they have done to help their communities. If one likes the organization so much he or she can run for office as I did, even if it is only at the chapter level. Also since I’ve been in FCCLA, I have grown as a leader; and I hope to pass what I have learned down to the members of Michigan FCCLA. I hope that all members have their own personal story about FCCLA that they can share with others about what FCCLA can do for them.
