2006 State Leadership Meeting - THANK YOU!!!!

I am so glad to say that the State Leadership Meeting went by very well. Wasn’t the Valley Plaza Resort amazing? It was great to have so many options to have in our free time- swimming, dancing, working out, and of course meeting members form across the state. The State Meeting was a great success with the sessions, workshops, banquet and especially the dance. Thanks to everyone for being respectful, following the rules and being fantastic representatives of FCCLA! A special congratulations to Kingsford High School for winning the Youth At its Best Award, and Pickford Public Schools for winning the FCCLA Spirit Award!

Congratulations to those who competed! Also good luck to those who were selected to represent Michigan FCCLA at the National Leadership Meeting this summer. There were some really great displays this year; I was just blown away to see all the amazing things chapters do to get out in their communities! The scrapbooks were awesome! You could certainly tell that a lot of time was put into each and every one of them. I encourage all of you to take part in STAR Events or even a Life Skill Event. It’s an awesome experience. On behalf of the State Executive Council we would like to thank all of you for making this a State Leadership meeting that we will always remember!
