This year’s State Leadership Meeting was amazing! Congratulations to all of you! You did very well in your competitions! There were some pretty amazing people who came out for karaoke and a lot of great dancers out on the floor! I hope you all enjoyed R|5 and RJ Jackson, as well as your stay at the Midland Valley Plaza. Between the State Leadership Meeting, the pools, the arcade, the movie theater, the bowling alley, and the mini golfing there was always something to do!
As the school year wraps up and we end our WILD year, it’s time to start thinking about what comes next…the National Leadership Meeting! This year’s National Leadership Meeting will be held in sunny Anaheim, California from July 7 through the 13. There are tons of things to do in Anaheim, including Six Flags Magic Mountain, “City of Angels” Los Angles Tour, Huntington Beach, Universal Studios, Medieval Times, Disneyland and much more! In addition to the sights of Anaheim, there’ll be plenty of cool stuff going on at the National Leadership Meeting, like the speaker Jim Morris, whose baseball career was the inspiration for the Walt Disney Film, “The Rookie.” There will also be a Relay for Life activity, and the highlight of the week – the FCCLA gala. Anaheim looks to be tons of fun with an amazing National Leadership Meeting! Good luck with your competitions and have a wonderful stay!
