State Leadership Meeting Memories
Wow! State Leadership Meeting was tremendous. Everyone has great experiences to share with their friends, family, and other FCCLA members from their chapters who were unable to attend SLM. During State Leadership Meeting, we had many different memories to dwell on. Firstly, the dance was electrifying. Secondly, the food was great. Thirdly, Tom Nugent, our keynote speaker, was very motivational. And lastly, we elected the new Michigan FCCLA State Executive Officers of 2009. How much better could it get?
From all of us from the State level, we would like to thank the United Dairy Industry of Michigan for their sponsorship of our lunch and the great milk all day long. And who can forget Vivian Stafford and the awesome Salsa Dancing, or the stress management workshop from Family & Children’s Services?! Without the help of these great people, much of the great experience we had at SLM would not have been possible.
At State Leadership Meeting we raised our horizons. To do this, many people competed in a STAR Event to achieve a chance to go to National Leadership Meeting. Congratulations to the people who received the chance to move on to Nationals. Gear up for National Leadership Meeting.
