State Officer Farewell
Throughout this FCCLA year, there have been happy tears, sad tears, laughter, fun, and work; and I have loved every second of it. During this time, though, I have had the pleasure of realizing all the influential and supporting people I have in my life. And I would like to take this time to thank them.
First, there are many teachers and staff members I have at my school that help me but there is one that stands out greatly: Mrs. Crawford ,my American history teacher. She is also an English teacher, and she corrects all the papers I have to write for FCCLA. She is such a wonderful lady, and I can come talk to her about anything without fear of judgment. Thank you, Mrs. Crawford.
Second, there is my chapter adviser Mrs. Jacobson. Without her, I wouldn't even be a state officer and that would be no fun. I appreciate the things she has done for me throughout my years in FCCLA. Thank you, Mrs. Jacobson.
Third, there are my grandma and grandpa. They are huge influences in my life, and I love everything they do for me, I know they would do anything for me. My grandma makes me dresses that I am able to wear for FCCLA events, and my grandpa will drive me to any location I need to go for FCCLA. Thank you, Grandma and Grandpa.
Fourth, Mr. Schmidt, our state adviser. Without him, we wouldn't be as organized and amazing as we are. People don't realize how much he does for the state and state officers, but I do; and that is why I am thanking him. Thanks for the fun working nights, great restaurants, and bringing me and the other state officers together. Thank you, Mr. Schmidt.
Fifth, I would like to thank my fellow state officers. Ashley, thank you for being my instant best friend; I cherish every moment we have together. Thank you so much for being an awesome president and helping me write things when I have no idea what to do. And thanks for being shorter than me. Leigha, thanks for always being there when I have questions about deadlines and silly random things like that. Amanda, thanks for always being my roommate for life. And thanks for always keeping everyone on task and making sure we get everything done when needed. Lorraine, thanks for being my eco-friendly bud and Christmas partner. Thanks for your random comments and weird humor, and thanks for snail mail; I love it. Andrew, thanks for being a boy! I really appreciate all the experience you brought to the group; and without you, I don't think we could have been as great. Thank you, fellow state officers.
And lastly, I would like to thank my parents. Without them I wouldn't be able to do anything because I wouldn't be here. They support anything I want to try and will be there if I fall. They are there when I need them and would do anything for me. They make sure I am safe and love me for me; and, for that, I love them. Thanks, mom and dad!
The people I have thanked are great people; I will never forget them, and I hope they won't forget me. They have made impressions in my life that will last forever. They have made me a better person and have influenced me in a wonderful way. Thank you, everyone.
