Gimme 5!
Does your chapter have certain activities that they do in order to recruit new members? These could be things such as a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, pep assemblies, or even over the loud speaker at school. Good times to do these activities are when you are around alot of your peers. Putting on fun activities will let people know how much fun FCCLA really is.
You can recieve recognition for gaining only 5 new members! Michigan FCCLA is challenging our chapters to increase their membership by at least 5 members this year, or achieve 100% Membership status. five new members is all you need in order for your school to recieve the Gimme 5! award. The best part!? There are no forms to fill out, no questions to answer, nothing special to do! All you have to do is recruit five new members for your FCCLA chapter. If you are a new chapter, simply recruit five members more than the minimum. That's only fourteen members!
So recruit and retain the new members, and your school will be recognized not only at the State Leadership Confrence in April, but also in FOCUS on FCCLA, and on the Michigan FCCLA website!
