1. All chapters must be affiliated with the national organization.
2. Winners are selected on a written presentation describing how their chapter recognized a specific community need and provided a service to meet that need.
3. Entries must be submitted on an official application form or photocopy of the form.
4. All applications are sent to the state advisor.
Each state, using an awards committee, will select a state winner.
1. Clarity of goal and student's ability to identify community needs;
2. Project creativity, resourcefullness, results achieved and impact on the community;
3. Use of family and consumer sciences education skills;
4. Extent to which the project promotes a better understanding of family and consumer sciences and FCCLA.
Applications must be postmarked and sent to National FCCLA by March 1.
