| Basic safety attitudes are formed early in life. Parents teach children powerful lessons--many of them through example. When parents wear safety belts and bicycle helmets, children learn to do so too. Children learn their attitudes about drinking and driving in the family as well. And when you think about it, traffic crashes affect families and communities. FACTS is sponsored by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
