STAR Events (Students Taking Action with Recognition) are competitive events in which members are recognized for proficiency and achievement in chapter and individual projects, leadership skills and occupational preparation. STAR Events offers individual skill development through the following: Cooperative--teams STAR Events work to accomplish specific goals; individualized--members work alone to accomplish specific goals; and competitive--individual or team performance measured by an established set of criteria.


STAR Events Projects:
  1. Projects may be carried out by an individual, team, or chapter, depending on the specific event rules and procedures.
  2. National STAR Events participants must be selected by state-established procedures before they can proceed to the national competition.

To compete at the national level for STAR Events members must affiliate by February 1.
