MIFCS Student Scholarship
Michigan Family and Consumer Sciences generously offers a scholarship to FCCLA student members that pursue a career in FCS.

Power of One
Power of One is a self-directed national program where members set their own goals, work to achieve them and see the results. The skills members learn in Power of One will help them in school, with friends and family, in the future at college or on the job.
Michigan FCCLA recognizes members at the State Leadership Conference that compete the Power of One program. Advisers, submit your student names in the FCCLA Membership Portal.

Safe Rides - Save Lives
Empowered by FACTS and sponsored by The National Road Safety Foundation (NRSF), FCCLA is proud to offer the Safe Rides—Save Lives PSA Contest! This initiative is an excellent opportunity for FCCLA Members to display their creativity and advocacy as they encourage their peers to make safe choices on the road.

8 for the 80th Award
To celebrate our 80th anniversary this year, the Gimme5 Award has been replaced with 8 more for the 80th Award. Each Michigan FCCLA chapter that increases their membership by eight or more members than last year by November 30 will be recognized at the State Leadership Conference.
If you’re a new chapter, or had less than the 12 minimum number of members last year, then you will need to reach 20 members this year to earn the award.

Go for the Red Award
Michigan FCCLA will recognize chapters and individual members who submit an application for the National FCCLA Go For the Red Campaign. Any member who recruits 3 or more members and submits an application to National FCCLA by February 1st will be recognized.
Applications submitted through the Membership Portal will be recognized at the state and national levels.

100% Membership Award
Chapters who affiliate every member of their CTE program may apply for the 100% Membership recognition.

State Service Initiative
The State Executive Council is encouraging all members to give back to their community and be recognized!
Submit service hours via the Student Portal by clicking on My Journey then My Service.
Michigan will recognize top 3 individuals and top 3 chapters with the most service hours logged!

Outstanding Chapter Program
The Outstanding Chapter program recognizes Michigan chapters who are engaging with a well-balanced program of work that makes an impact in their community, school, chapter and the state association.

National Programs and Awards
FCCLA offers eight peer-to-peer educational programs to help students develop real-world skills for life within Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) education.
FCCLA offers national recognition to chapters and individual members who complete projects for National Programs. This honor includes cash awards and/or special recognition at the National Leadership Conference, online, and on FCCLA Social Media.

NEWCOMERS SCHOLARSHIP
Do you know of a college student that wants to be a FCCLA Adviser?
The Newcomers Scholarship is an opportunity for FCS Education majors to gain FCCLA adviser conference experience while in college. Scholarship recipients will be reimbursed for conference registration upon completing and submitting the participation verification form.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENT
The Alumni Achievement Award recognizes former FCCLA members who have distinguished themselves in a chosen field of endeavor, whether as a paid professional or volunteer.
