Michigan Award

Spirit of Advising Award recognizes advisers who have gone above and beyond in serving the state association. The Michigan State Adviser selects this recipient each year, and submits the recipient for National FCCLA recognition.

National FCCLA Awards

The following awards have applications on the National FCCLA website, but must be submitted through the Michigan FCCLA office:

  • The Master Adviser Award program recognizes outstanding advisers who operate co-curricular chapters with a balanced program of work. Download the National FCCLA application and turn into the Michigan FCCLA office by February 1.

  • The Adviser Mentor Award program recognizes advisers who have achieved the level of Master Adviser and have worked with beginning advisers to orient them to Family, Career and Community Leaders of America. . Download the National FCCLA application and turn into the Michigan FCCLA office by February 1.

  • The National School Administrator Award recognizes and honors local administrators who give outstanding support to the organization on the local, state, and national levels. This award is made possible by a grant from the estate of Mrs. Helen Schmitz Webster, a former administrator in the Deer Creek Public Schools, Oklahoma. Download the National FCCLA application and turn into the Michigan FCCLA office by February 1.

 

The following awards have applications from National FCCLA website, and the application must go through the National FCCLA office:

  • The Educated Adviser Award focuses on recognizing a current FCCLA chapter adviser who goes above and beyond in his/her professional development activities and participation throughout the year. Click here for more information on award criteria, application deadlines, and official rules.

  • The Honorary Membership Award recognizes persons whose professional responsibilities are not directly related to the organization but who have made outstanding contributions and provide continuing service to the national organization. Download the National FCCLA application and turn into the National FCCLA office by April 1.

  • The Distinguished Service Award recognizes outstanding contributions and continuing service by individuals whose primary responsibilities are directly related to the organization's programs. Examples of those eligible for the Distinguished Service Award are local and state advisers, city and state supervisors of Family and Consumer Sciences, and teacher educators. Nominees must be current members of National Alumni and Associates. Download the National FCCLA application and turn into the National FCCLA office by April 1.

  • The National Chapter Public Relations Award recognizes chapters who have excelled in planning and implementing an exemplary public relations campaign to increase public awareness of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America and Family and Consumer Sciences Education.

NEWCOMERS SCHOLARSHIP

Do you know of a college student that wants to be a FCCLA Adviser?

The Newcomers Scholarship is an opportunity for FCS Education majors to gain FCCLA adviser conference experience while in college. Scholarship recipients will be reimbursed for conference registration upon completing and submitting the participation verification form.

ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENT

The Alumni Achievement Award recognizes former FCCLA members who have distinguished themselves in a chosen field of endeavor, whether as a paid professional or volunteer.
