Meet the State Executive Council

The State Executive Council is a group of passionate student leaders dedicated to empowering members, strengthening chapters, and advancing the mission of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America in Michigan. Through leadership, service, advocacy, and membership engagement, these officers represent the voice of Michigan FCCLA members while inspiring others to discover their potential, make meaningful connections, and lead with purpose.

Serving as a state officer is the highest honor available to an individual member in Michigan FCCLA. State officers embark on a challenging candidate process, beginning with an application that requires securing support from their chapter members, FCCLA adviser, and school administration. Following interviews with FCCLA leaders, business professionals, and alumni, they delivered a speech to the Michigan FCCLA delegation and networked with delegates to earn their support.

State officers receive specialized training opportunities to support their heightened responsibility to the association and members. The elected officers of Team 81 will serve Michigan FCCLA until the closing ceremony of the State Leadership Conference.

I am proud to serve as a State Officer, helping every member find their passion, voice, and purpose. I have played the viola for six years and enjoy spending time with my friends and family. Take the chance, get involved, and be yourself because in FCCLA, there truly is a place for everyone. It’s important to get out of your comfort zone and explore new opportunities so real growth can happen
